Context and Challenges
Every day, we make approximately 35,000 decisions, many of which involve food choices—from what to cook to what to buy. This constant cognitive load contributes to decision fatigue, especially in the fast-paced rhythm of modern life. Users also face concerns about maintaining health and reducing food waste. To address these challenges, our project embraced the principles of Zero UI and Lean methodology to design Kukh, a virtual assistant that simplifies and enhances the cooking experience. Kukh is tailored to various user profiles, helping them manage meal planning effortlessly while minimizing mental strain.
Solution and Validation
Kukh is a compact and minimalist device designed to seamlessly integrate into any kitchen. It features a product scanner, projector, and speaker that work together to guide users through meal preparation step-by-step, based on available ingredients. This project also served as a feasibility test through the creation of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and the launch of a dedicated landing page. Within just 48 hours, the landing page garnered promising user interest and registrations, validating the concept’s potential.
